Open Letter to Governor Babatunde Fashola – Scandals Rock The Making Of LASPOTECH’s 10Th Rector

His Excellency,

Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN

Executive Governor of Lagos State,

Alausa Secretariat,

Ikeja,

Lagos State.

Dear sir,

FLAGRANT ABUSE OF DUE PROCESS AND GANG UPS IN LAGOS STATE POLYTECHNIC TO SUPRESS QUALITY LEADERSHIP IN ORDER TO COVER UP DIRTY DEALS

Your Excellency sir, it may interest you to know that in the last four years, the staff (Academics and Admin) of Lagos State Polytechnic have been under serious bondage owing to the leadership style of the Rector, Dr Abdulazeez Abioye Lawal and his co-travelers. The people allow this brigand to fester this much because they don’t want to toe the line of our sister Institutions who are constantly in the news for no good reason. Hence, the implosion that is about to happen.

I will start with the Rector. To Dr Lawal, everybody that might had wronged him when he was the Chief Imam of the polytechnic is his perceived enemy and must be persecuted. He will set up panels and determine what the findings and recommendations of the panel must be. If the panel exonerates, he will overrule and lord his decision on the affected staff. This is a typical case of the academic staff members that were demoted in the department of Computer science-Saheed Ololade Adelanwa PFAS/ 600, Jerry Abayomi Sarumi PFAS /669 and Ibitoye Akinfolajinmi Akinrinlola PFAS/606.

While these young lecturers are facing this harrowing experience, one Mrs Alfrida Abimbola Oshinde PFSS/601 in the department of Hospitality Management Technology and also the sister-in law of the Registrar is allowed to work and walk freely after being tried and convicted for a case of forged certificate. This is just one out of many of such double standard in the polytechnic.

Sir, regardless of the religious veil that the rector is covered with, it will amuse you to know that the financial recklessness and frauds in the polytechnic will make even NNPC go green with envy. What would anyone imagine on an internet provision that was procured with seventeen million naira and never worked for a day. Award of biased scholarships without any regards for quota system and merit. These are just to mention few.

Sir, the time bomb that requires to be detonated IMMEDIATELY is the appointment of the LASPOTECH’s 10th Rector which process is currently raising dust. It has been established amongst the staff of the Polytechnic, that truth is stood on its head. We all know ourselves, and we also understand the capacity of all the five Applicants from the Polytechnic, the results flying round are obviously not a reflection of the Polytechnic’s egg heads. The connivance of the Special Adviser on Education, Rector of the Polytechnic and the guest Rectors at the interview cast aspersion on the outcome of the process.

It is on record that, Mr Fatai Olukoga has been compromised by Dr Abioye Lawal. The same Dr Lawal fraudulently induced the guest Rectors to work in tandem with the script of fostering a stooge as the incoming Rector, to cover the huge financial mismanagement and recklessness of the duo (SAE and Rector).

Sir, you may wish to know that, Mr Fatai Olukoga took his job as your ADVISER to an alarming level that portrayed your government in bad light. Olukoga works and signs every document on commission basis. It is Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira to append his signature, 20% of every executed project, Six Million Naira for rectorship, Three Million Naira per Convocation, etc aside other ungodly gratifications during any festive period. Most times, monies are processed for him through the office of the school PRO- these are all verifiable facts.

I quite understand the fact that, it is informal to swear and such action is alien to Nigerian constitution. But I make bold to say that, all the actors in this unfolding drama should swear to heavens and worth they believe in to prove their innocence. Documents don’t also lie sir.

You may wish to investigate these conduit pipes sir; HAF-HAX TECHNOLOGY- owned by the Registrar’s husband, LASTAK- owned by the Rector and WAKO CONSTRUCTION LIMITED –owned by the Rector’s Personal Assistant.

Your Excellency sir, it should be noted that I am not interested in any candidate, but in free and fair process that devoid favouritism, nepotism or ‘godfatherism”.

MY PRAYERS

Your Excellency sir, I will admonish you to set up INDEPENDENT panel of inquiry to investigate all the aforementioned claims and others that I don’t have knowledge of, to save the Polytechnic from the threatening collapse
Investigate all the Special Adviser’s dirty dealings (some concealed in secrecy while some in the open) with the Polytechnic Management while the Governing Council was not in place.
Invite Philip Consulting to provide the original results of the Computer Based Test (CBT) that was conducted for all the Candidates vying for the post of rectorship.
Request for the original rough scores/grade from the league of Rectors, and question why grades were uttered
Inaugurate another panel of professionals and Academics to painstakingly scrutinize (a) the documents of the Applicants, (b) sincerely determine the states of origin, (c) adequately interview the Applicants (written & oral), (d) everything should be done in the full glare of cameras
Please, constitute a formidable and progressive Governing Council for the Polytechnic to avoid further depletion of our scarce resources and the ‘military’ like leadership style.
Sir, kindly take time to act upon the sincere petition before the pending implosion snowball into regrettable crises.

Long live Lagos State. Long live LASPOTECH.

Yours Sincerely

Signed

Adelaja Waheed ADERIBIGBE

REVEALED: WHAT YOU DON’T KNOW ABOUT RITA DOMINIC

Many people know Rita Dominic as a movie star, but what they might not know about her is her temper, which if let loose, could be devastating. This she revealed herself not too long ago.

In fact, this is one of her weaknesses and that is why she is always calm at the slightest provocation knowing well of her status as a public figure and a role model to many people who look up to her.

Rita is a star that puts on smiles that melt many hearts and the demeanor of a an angel as often described by many of her admirers.

Giving a hint of who she really is, the Imo State-born actress posted a meme with the inscription, 'When I get mad at someone, I'm silent because if I speak my mind, sh*t is going to get real.'

The multiple award-winning actress explained that this is “the reason I'm kinda quiet by nature."

YVONNE NELSON RUNS TO CHURCH TO TACKLE ‘DUMSOR’

Presently, Ghana is experiencing persistent power outage like her West African neighbor, Nigeria, and Ghanaian citizens are not happy about the development.

Yvonne Nelson, a Ghanaian movie star, has added her voice to tackle what they call ‘dumsor’ in that country. ‘Dumsor’ is a term used in Ghana to describe epileptic power supply.

The actress has now started a social media campaign tagged #dumsormuststop and she has encouraged her fellow citizens to join her in pressuring the government to solve the issue.

The leggy screen diva further said a vigil would be held later in the month over the issue.

“The #dumsormuststop vigil is on Saturday 16th May! Join me and other citizens of GHANA. Strictly non-partisan. This is simply a discharge of your civic responsibility to God and country.

“This is for the many people who have lost their jobs because of ‘dumsor’. This is for the many people who have lost their lives because of ‘dumsor’. This is for the school children who have to study with lanterns and torches to write exams.

“This is for the sick people at the hospitals who have to endure ‘dumsor’ on their sick beds. This is for the many patients who are unable to receive efficient healthcare because of ‘dumsor’. This is for you and I and the unborn generation of this great nation,” she said.

Stella Damasus & Husband Step Out In Matching Outfits

Beautiful actress/Talk Show Host, Stella Damasus is definitely a stunner when it comes to fashion. No doubt. Her fashion becomes even more beautiful when she rocks matching outfits with her Husband, Daniel Ademonikan.

Perfect example is the photo belowwhere the couples are both on black outfits. Nice yeah?

Don’t undermine South-South, South-East, Uduaghan warns Buhari

Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State has cautioned President-elect, Major-General Muhammadu Buhari, against any attempt to undermine the South-South and South East.

“I must counsel here that the South-South and the South-East regions must not be ignored or undermined by the in-coming Federal Government on account of their voting patterns in the general elections,” he warned in Lagos on Sunday night where he bagged Silverbird Man of the year Award.

To the two-term governor, it would be dangerous and disastrous for the regions to be ignored just because they did not vote for the in-coming All Progressives Congress (APC)-led administration.

According to him, it would be precarious for such strategic regions or any region for that matter to be undermined solely because of their political leanings, and harped on the need for every part of the country to be treated fairly and equitably.

Besides, the governor assured that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was prepared to form a formidable opposition party in the country, adding that the party would bounce back ‘sooner than expected’.

He dedicated the award to “my wife and all Deltans who stood and worked with my administration to build a peaceful state”.

Man Accuses Jonathan Of 'Killing' His Pregnant Daughter

A bereaved man, Mr Ojo Babafemi Andrews, has written an open letter to president Goodluck Jonathan, accusing him of ‘killing’ his pregnant daughter.

Read the heartbreaking letter below:

The outgoing president Goodluck Jonathan has by the virtue of his empowering miscreants who go by the name Odua Peoples Congress (OPC) sent me and my family into a deep mourning since last Wednesday. The president by the unconstitutional empowerment of the ethnic militia which has through their clashes with pipeline vandals killed so many innocent Nigerians particularly in Arepo area of Ogun State.

My daughter, Oluwadimilola Adebimpe Fajana -Née Ojo was killed in cross fire while driving back home after a hard day job.Damilola was a 26 years old pregnant lawyer. She was a graduate of the University of Ado Ekiti (EKSU).

President Jonathan is linked to her the death by the reason of his patronage of people who have no basic training in arms and weaponry in the business of pipeline protection, which is a very dangerous security enterprise supposed to fall under the purview of the trained Nigerian security agencies.President Goodluck Jonathan is culpable of the death of Damilola Fajana and that of others by the virtue of his morbid desperation for political power which led him to awarding thus senseless contract of his to OPC in return for political support in Lagos State.

He is equally guilty of my daughter’s death by his withdrawing the trained security personnels, the police, the army and the civil defense corps from doing their constitutional duties of protecting Nigerian people and their properties and replacing them with untrained miscreants by the name of OPC

President Jonathan’s hands are soiled by the blood of my daughter by his promoting ethnic militias groups which rubbished our established security system and allow armed thugs and touts to go after pipeline vandals in a high density civilian area in an unorganized manner. He has by this shown that he has lost confidence in the Nigerian security system.

Jonathan’s actions and inactions has directly led to the death of Mrs Oluwadimilola Fajana Née Ojo and many other innocent Nigerians who were lawful and obedient people going about their lawful businesses.

My take on this is that President Jonathan has openly displayed an undying hunger for political powers but pretending to be meek and humble, but thank God that Nigerians have not failed in seeing this by voting him out in the last month presidential election.

It is my hope that the incoming General Buahari’s administration, will revoke this obnoxious and misplaced pipeline contract, and restore peace and normalcy back to Arepo and it’s environment.

This can only be done by returning the Nigerian security agencies back to the area. This will stop the current bloodletting and unnecessary blood shedding of innocent Nigerians, just because a desperate man like Dr Jonathan wants to win elections.

By this, the death of my pregnant daughter Mrs Damilola Fajana Née Ojo, my unborn grandchild, and that of others will not go unsung.

It is my hope also that the Ogun State government, will institute a probe panel into this notorious and inhuman killing and maiming of innocent Nigerians resident in Ogun State all in the name of protecting petrol pipe lines.

As for Dr Jonathan, I will not curse but will not also pray but all I will say is that God will judge him accordingly if his decision of arming ethnic militias has done more harm to the Nigerian people than good. And to his co-travelers in the business of looting and killing Nigerians in the name of protecting pipelines, may peace and hamony be strangers in their homes just like they did to my home over the avoidable killing of my meek and promising daughter whose light they extinguished in her prime.

May the good Lord grant Barrister Damilola Adebimpe Fajana Née Ojo and other innocent Nigerians who were victims of President Jonathan and his OPC killer contractors eternal rest and our families the fortitude to bear the loss.

Signed
Mr Ojo Babafemi Andrews.
Ado Ekiti.

Dangote keen on buying Arsenal

African billionaire Aliko Dangote admits that he remains keen on buying Arsenal.

The 58-year-old Nigerian, who is worth an estimated £10.3 billion - which makes him Africa's richest man - explored the possibility of purchasing the club in 2010 but his approach was rejected.

"I still hope, one day at the right price, that I'll buy the team," Dangote told Bloomberg Business. "I might buy it, not at a ridiculous price but a price that the owners won't want to resist. I know my strategy."

Dangote, who has made his fortune through various operations including cement manufacturing, sugar supply and oil investments, says that he will concentrate on expanding his own business before launching a new offer for Arsenal.

“We have $16bn-worth [£10.5bn] of investments in the next few years. Right now I want to take my own business to a certain level. Once I finish on that trajectory, then maybe [an offer will follow]," he continued.

Dangote is an Arsenal fan but has criticised Arsene Wenger, claiming that the 65-year-old "needs to change his style a bit" and warning that the club "need new direction".

Unbelievable? Believe it: Mayweather earned $83,000 per second during fight with Pacquiao

Floyd Mayweather should change his nick-middle-name from 'Money' to 'Truck loads of Money' after banking $180 million from his fight against Manny Pacquiao.

Do the match: $180 million and divided by 12 rounds of three minutes each. So $180,000,000 divided by 2,160 (12 rounds x 180 seconds). That comes to $83,333 per second - to be precise.

Yes, you read that right - Mayweather made more than $83,000 per second during the fight.
Pacquiao didn't go home very poor either. According to a report on Mashable, he banked $120 million from the fight. That's $55,555 per second. Not bad at all, eh?

The report puts into perspective the earnings against the average American's salary per year - $44,000. That's what Mayweather made in just more than half a second - a year's worth of money of an average citizen. Let's not even get into the average Indian's salary.

Mayweather is now worth almost $600 million - and will certainly use the money to buy more cars and jets. He is also looking forward to one more fight in September - and rumour has it that it could be British boxer Amir Khan he takes on.

The next four months should give you enough time to digest the numbers mentioned in this article. And probably motivate you to become a professional boxer. All the best.

Jonathan holds private meeting with Adeboye, Oyedepo

Jonathan, Adeboye and Oyedepo.
President Goodluck Jonathan on Monday met separately with two leading pastors in the countries based in Ogun State.

Jonathan met with the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye; and the Presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church Worldwide a.k.a Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo.

The headquarters of Winners Chapel is located in Ota, Ogun State while the Redemption Camp of the RCCG is situated at Mowe along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

The President arrived the Presidential Wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos in the afternoon and was conveyed to the venues of the separate meetings in a helicopter.

The two meetings were said to have been described as “private” and hence were not opened to journalists.

After the closed-door meetings with the two clergymen, Jonathan who was accompanied on the trip by a few aides, returned to Abuja immediately.

Details of discussions at the meetings were not known as of press time.

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, could not be reached to comment on the purpose of the meetings as of the time of filing this report.

It would however be recalled that Adeboye and Oyedepo were mentioned to be part of a team that attempted to broker peace between Jonathan and former President Olusegun Obasanjo before the 2015 general elections.

The two pastors were said to have in January led the President to Obasanjo’s mansion on Presidential Hilltop Estate, Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital for a reconciliatory meeting.

Media reports had it then that Adeboye and Oyedepo were at the meeting at the instance of the former President as one of conditions given by Obasanjo before any meeting with Jonathan could take place.

It was learnt that the men of God were called to be witnesses of what would transpire between Jonathan and Obasanjo during the meeting after the terms of the outcome of previous discussions between the two were allegedly not implemented by the President.

Speakership: Gbajabiamila woos state caucuses

One of the aspirants for the Speaker of the 8th House of Representatives, Mr. Femi Gbajabiamila, took his lobbying to state caucuses of the House on Monday in a bid to woo more lawmakers.

Findings showed that Gbajabiamila, who is the current House Minority Leader, set up “mobilisation committees” to woo members in the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

He has several strong challengers, including the Chairman, Committee on House Services, Mr. Yakubu Dogara (All Progressives Congress, Bauchi); Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Constituency Outreach, Mr. Pally Iriase (APC, Edo); Chairman, Committee on Agriculture, Mr. Mohammed Monguno (Borno, APC) and Chairman, Committee on Finance, Mr. Abdulmumin Jibrin (APC, Kano).

There is still uncertainty over the zoning of key National Assembly offices by the leadership of the APC.

The party has so far kept sealed lips over claims that it zoned the speakership to the South-West, Gbajabiamila’s zone.

In the last one week, Dogara, Iriase and Monguno, have made a strong case for the job, threatening any possible zoning decisions by the party.

Investigations showed that amid the uncertainty, Gbajabiamila set up the committees to “intensify state-by-state campaign.”

About 301 out of the 360 members of the House are first timers, who do not live in Abuja.

But, at a separate forum, Iriase warned the APC not to “go against the Federal Character Principle” enshrined in the 1999 Constitution.

Iriase is insisting that the seat should be zoned to the South-South “for the purpose of geo-political ýbalancing.”

“The work of Gbajabiamila’s committees is to widen the campaign and reach out to the members to sell the candidacy of the minority leader.

“It has become clear that a lot more needs to be done across party lines,” a National Assembly official told The PUNCH on Monday.

It was learnt that in Kaduna State, for example, the coordinator is Mr. Rufai Chanchangi, while Mr. Abdulahi Balarabe coordinates Sokoto State.

“Yobe State has Khadijah Ibrahim, while Ondo has Baderinwa White, among others”, the source added.

But, speaking with journalists in reaction to reports that the APC had settled for the South-West, Iriase stated that any zoning that ruled out the South-South would be against the Federal Character principle.

Iriase and Mr. Peter Akpatason are the only two returning APC lawmakers in the House from the South-South.

He spoke further, “I don’t wish my party a replay of the Peoples Democratic Party scenario in 2011.

“If the zoning is equitable and fair, members may not want to rock the boat of the APC.”

Iriase, who described himself as the “one with the better administrative experience” among the aspirants, promised to run a transparent leadership, “fight corruption and ensure prudent management of resources.”

Hoodlums strip lawmaker-elect in Osun

The issuance of Certificate of Return to lawmakers-elect in Osun State was almost marred by violence on Monday, as some hoodlums attacked a lawmaker-elect from Ife East Constituency, Mr. Akinwole Akinwale.

The lawmaker-elect was about leaving the state office of the Independent National Electoral Commission when some miscreants waylaid him and prevented him from leaving the venue.

Our correspondent observed that there was a brief fight at the gate of the INEC, but the crisis was quickly resolved.

Akinwole later told our correspondent on the telephone that those who attacked him were sent by a former commissioner from Ife.

He said that he had been told that he would not be allowed to collect the Certificate of Return but he did not take the warning seriously.

He said, “I was attacked by some boys who said that the former commissioner had said I should not be allowed to take the certificate. I was told he asked them to shoot me if I insisted on collecting it.

“I was attacked while coming out of the INEC office and they tore my clothes. The policemen who were there tried to rescue me and I was ferried out of the place in the Speaker’s car.”

Earlier, the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr. Adekunle Ogunmola, advised the lawmakers-elect to set aside their political differences and work together to move the state forward.

The REC urged the legislators-elect not to betray the trust reposed in them by the electorate who voted for them.

Responding, lawmakers-elect said they were ready to work for the development of the state, irrespective of their party affiliation.

The Deputy Speaker of Osun State House of Assembly, Mr. Akintunde Adegboye, who spoke on behalf of the 24 lawmakers elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, lauded the Speaker, Mr. Najem Salam, for the way he had led the assembly for the past four years.

The PDP lawmaker-elect from Ife Central, Mr. Oladejo Makinde, lauded the INEC for being fair in the conduct of the election.

He said that the lawmakers-elect were friends and would unite to move the state forward.

Jennifer Lopez Met Gala 2015 Dress Leaves Very Little To The Imagination

Jennifer Lopez never ceases to amaze us, and her look at the 2015 Met Gala was no different. The singer stunned on the red carpet in a gown with very strategically placed embroidery.

The Versace gown was daring, to say the least. But Lopez wasn't alone in showing off some skin on the red carpet. Kim Kardashian's Roberto Cavalli gown and Beyoncé's barely-there look were equally as risqué.
