Recently, Nollywood actor, Emeka Ike, dragged the name of the Founder of the House Hold of God Church, Pastor Chris Okotie into his family affairs after he accused him of taking sides with his wife without hearing him out.

In his official press statement, Emeka Ike claims Okotie helped his wife hire a lawyer to speed up his divorce case.

But speaking through his media consultant in a telephone interview yesterday, Pastor Chris Okotie, claims the actor’s accusations are baseless as he is just set out to tarnish his image in the media.

Fashola shuns questions on corruption allegations

The immediate past Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, on Thursday refused to answer questions on the allegations of corruption levelled against him.

Fashola was alleged to have spent N139m on two boreholes at the Lagos House, Ikeja, and another N78.3m for the upgrade of a personal website.

The former governor, who was the guest speaker at the 16th Bishop Mike Okonkwo Annual Lecture, urged Nigerians to ensure that they hold their leaders accountable always.
The event, which was held at the Shell Hall of the MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos Island, was titled, ‘The Nigerian political Class and the Citizen’s Quest for Good Governance.’
 
The governor said most Nigerians failed to hold their political leaders to their campaign promises after elections.

Meet Helen Mukoro, a Nigerian-Spanish Lawyer who hailed from Delta state.She worked briefly in Delta State Governor’s office before she left Nigeria for Spain in 1992.

Mukoro gained prominence in Spanish politics, when she founded a political party and later became the first Nigerian-Spanish to contest for the Mayor of Denia in May this year. Although she lost the election, her popularity soared higher as several people endorsed her for the highest office in the land.

She has set a record as the first woman and an immigrant to emerge a presidential flag bearer of a political party in Spain.

A woman was rushed to a hospital after she dislocated her jaw by laughing too hard while playing poker with her husband.  
 
The woman identified as Jiao, was playing poker with her husband on a train, which was traveling from Nanning to Qingdao on Friday. Jiao told doctors that when she was dealt a good hand, she laughed. She laughed hard and long, and ended up dislocating her jaw.
