Unveiling Of Oliseh: Nigerians In South Africa Hail NFF

Some Nigerians living in South Africa have commended the Nigeria Football Federation for unveiling, Sunday Oliseh, as new Super Eagles coach.

The President of the Nigerian Union, South Africa, Ikechukwu Anyene, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Pretoria, South Africa, on Thursday that Oliseh's choice was a welcome development.

“ Nigerians in South Africa are happy with the choice of Sunday Oliseh as the new Super Eagles coach.

“As a former player, he has seen it all and has the experience to lead the Eagles to greater heights.

“I believe Oliseh will bring a new lease of life to the national team,’’ he said.

Adetola Olubajo, Secretary of the Nigeria Union, South Africa, said Oliseh had the potential to revive the fortunes of the Super Eagles.

“Oliseh has played for big clubs in Europe and given the fact that he attended several coaching courses, I think he will do well.

“I also wish to commend the NFF for unveiling him so that he can go to work.

“The Super Eagles have so many assignments waiting for them and I do not think that time is on their side.

“Nigerians living in South Africa want to see the Eagles back to winning ways. Nigeria is blessed with abundant football stars.

“ This is the time to harness these talents and use them,’’ he said.

Henry Umogbai, Secretary, Nigeria Union, Gauteng Province of South Africa, said unveiling of Oliseh was a step in the right direction.

Umogbai said Oliseh had the experience to build a formidable team given abundant talents in the country.

He urged the NFF to give the new Eagles coach the necessary support to accomplish the task ahead.

Emeka Ezinteje, a Nigerian businessman based in Johannesburg, said that the unveiling of Oliseh showed the determination of the NFF to get the Eagles back to business.

“ Nigerians want the Eagles to conquer Africa as they did in the past. I believe that Oliseh has the capacity and potential to form a winning team in his new role as the coach of the team,’’ he said.

Ezinteje urged Nigerians to support the new coach to achieve good results with the Eagles to put smiles on the faces of football fans in the country.

Vincent Onyema, President, Abia Progressives Union in South Africa, also praised the unveiling of Oliseh, and urged the new coach to use players who were fit for matches.

Onyema said that frequent clashes between the NFF and former coach Keshi did not help the national team.

“ Nigerians in South Africa want to see a brand new Super Eagles. We hope that Oliseh`s appointment and unveiling will bring a new football culture in the country.
“We pray for him to succeed and take Nigerian football to greater heights,’’ he said.

US Visit: Obama To Break Tradition For PMB

In demonstration of his readiness to forge closer ties with Nigeria, US President Barack Obama will be breaking his administration’s tradition when President Muhammadu Buhari arrives in Washington D.C. on a state visit on Monday next week.

The American leader will host President Buhari as his personal guest at the Blair House, the official guest house of the American president right opposite the White House, for three days.

This is a clear departure from the American government’s attitude to visiting heads of state, particularly Nigerian leaders.

It is also a demonstration of Obama’s admiration of President Buhari and a thumbs-up for the Nigerian leader’s acclaimed frugal lifestyle and disdain for ostentation.

The decision to host President Buhari in the official guest house of the US president will not only cut down the cost of the trip, but also allow time for informal discussions by both leaders.

Buhari is said to have pegged his entourage at 32, a clear departure from the immediate past administration of President Goodluck Jonathan who was once reported to have embarked on a two-day trip with a team of about 100 persons.

During official visits to Washington D.C. while in office, Jonathan and his entourage usually stayed at the Westin Grand Hotel. At other times, he booked Waldorf-Astoria Hotel and the Pierre Hotel.

During the coming visit, the two leaders will exchange ‘wish lists’. These will contain the requests of both leaders from each other, as well as firm pledges on how they plan to come to each other’s aid.

It was learnt that top on the US government’s pledges is greater assistance in the fight against terrorism. In return, the US government wants Nigeria to show greater commitment to the war on corruption, particularly transparency in public service.

Applicant Steals N50,000 From School Proprietor’s Safe During Interview

A light-fingered job applicant blew his chances of a job he applied for after he was caught with the school proprietor’s missing N50,000.

The incident occurred Tuesday in Bwari Area Council at a school affiliated to a pentecostal church whose general overseer doubles as the school proprietor.

LEADERSHIP learnt that the applicant, a Benue indigene, whose name was given as David, had earlier worked as security man for the school but voluntarily resigned shortly before the last general election and went back to his state. Before leaving the security job he had introduced one of his fellow townsman to the school, who replaced him on the job.

The applicant returned to Abuja on Monday and went straight to the school to see if his job could be given back to him. He met with the school’s principal who quickly told him that the brother that replaced him performed his duty better and so they had no intention of taking the job from him. She however advised him to see the proprietor who was not around at the moment.

When the proprietor arrived at the school, Dave as he was called, who was squatting in the security house with the school’s security man was asked to go and see her. In the course of interview Dave noticed the safe where the proprietor kept her money.

A source in the school said they could not tell the exact time the applicant went into the proprietor’s office and stole the N50,000 from her safe. The proprietor returned to her office after going to inspector on-going work at the site of the school’s annex.

Shortly after she entered her office, she noticed that the money had been stolen and so she raised the alarm. All the staff were summoned to the proprietor’s office and informed about the missing money. Immediately, search for the money commenced. every office was searched and the bags and briefcases of the teachers were also searched.

The school’s authority eventually decided to take the search to the security house where the applicant also had his travelling bag. The security man who was combing the room, picked up Dave’s bag and opened it and to the amazement of everyone, the N50,000 fell out of the bag.
The proprietor who felt shocked but relieved that the money had been recovered immediately ordered the applicant out of the school’s premises.

The principal of the school who spoke with LEADERSHIP under condition of anonymity said the proprietor was advised to report the applicant to the police but decided against it saying she did not want the young man to languish in jail.

Heartbroken father relives agonising moment his truck hit wall crushing young son to death

A heartbroken father has relived the moment a truck he was driving hit a wall which then collapsed, crushing his 17-month-old son.

Little Mohammed Yaseen, also known as Amaan, suffered catastrophic head injuries as a result of the bricks falling on him and was pronounced dead at the scene.

His father Imran said he had been moving the Mitsibushi low loader to another address in the same street where he and his family lived in Stechford on February 16 this year.

He told an inquest at Birmingham Coroner’s Court that he had put the handbrake of the lorry on – but it had rolled forward and hit the wall.

Mr Yaseen said he did not know at the time that any of his family were near the truck, reports the Mail.

He told the inquest: “I used the hand brake but the truck just rolled forward and hit the wall.

"I was not aware beforehand that any of the family were going to be watching.”

Asked by the coroner whether there was anything different he could have done to avoid the tragedy he said; “I could have been aware he was nearby. I did not see him.”

But Police Constable Gurvinder Khosa said that he was sure that the accident had been caused by Mr Yaseen.

PC Khosa said: “It was driver error. As he was manoeuvring the vehicle he failed to appreciate it had a over hang which struck the wall.”

Police Sergeant Adam Green said papers had been sent to the Crown Prosecution Service in relation to a possible prosecution.

He said: “We recommended no further action be taken. It was not deemed to be in the public interest to pursue the matter any further.”

Birmingham Coroner Louise Hunt said the young boy had died as a result of massive head injuries and multiple internal injuries and fractures.

She said: “Mohammed was standing near to a wall at 191 Queens Road at about 5pm when the Mitsibushi low loader recovery vehicle rolled forward on to the wall. Part of the wall hit the deceased who suffered head and body injuries.

“He was taken to Birmingham Children’s Hospital where he was pronounced dead.”

She recorded that he died as a result of a road traffic collision.

Speaking after the tragic death Mohammed’s family described the youngster a “lovely little boy who brought joy and happiness”.

The statement said: “These parents are distraught and shocked.

“Amaan was a lovely little boy, who brought with him a lot of joy and happiness for the entire family – particularly his parents – and he will be deeply missed.”

Insp Paul Bennett, of the West Midlands Police collision investigation unit, said: “This was a tragic incident.”

'I murdered my best friend - then went to her funeral so police wouldn't suspect me'

A woman who served 21 years in prison after murdering her best friend has revealed how she went to her funeral so she would not be suspected.

Karen Severson murdered her childhood best friend Michelle 'Missy' Avila with accomplice Laura Doyle, slashed her hair off and hid her body in a forest river.

Now 47 the killer, who was 22 at the time, has spoken frankly about the savage attack and revealed how she turned from, protector to persecutor.

She said she did not intend to kill Missy, who she had known since she was seven, and used to stick up for her until they drifted apart. She said she was only planning to bully her when things got out of hand.

She said: "I only meant to torment Missy. "Looking back, I was jealous of Missy."

Describing the first time she met her victim when they were aged seven, she said: "Missy was out in the street looking for her lost cat. "She was a sweet-looking girl with long auburn hair and green eyes. I helped her look for it. She had just moved into the street and she was my new neighbour."

She went on: "We were very similar at that age. We loved dressing up out Barbies and playing in the sunshine.

But she said things were not always easy for Miss Avila.

"Missy would get picked on a lot at school," she said. "I don't know why, maybe people were jealous of her pretty looks. But I stood up for her. She called me her bodyguard after that."

She said as the girls got older they grew apart and aged 14, Severson fell pregnant.

She said she thinks this led to her and her former friend drifting apart, especially when she dropped out of school to look after her baby.

She said: "Once I would have defended her. But now I joined in the cruelty."

Doyle claimed she saw Missy kissing her boyfriend and the pair confronted her.

On October Doyle arranged to meet Missy at Colby Canyon in Angeles National Park.

Severson said Doyle picked her victim up in her car and drove to the woods.

At Colby Canyon, they headed through the forest to the stream.

Severson said: "Missy probably thought it would be like old times.

"But Laura went mad, screaming at her."

The victim's body was found in Angeles National Park in California, USA, by hikers in October 1985, three days after she was reported missing.

Her hair had been slashed off. She was facedown in a stream and a 100lb log prevented her from moving.

After Missy's body was found the pair consoled her family, even attending her funeral. But a tip off from a friend they had confided in saw them being jailed.

"I felt like I had an obligation to Missy's family after what I did.

"As Missy's mother grieved, I consoled her. I felt like I had an obligation to Missy's family after what I did.

"I wanted to look after them."

But she admitted she also had ulterior motives for 'helping'.

She said: "I also wanted to know how the police investigation was going.

"I wanted to know who the suspects were and what evidence they'd found."

Severson and her co-defendant who was also 22, were convicted of second-degree murder at Pasadena Superior Court in March 1990.

They were both sentenced to a minimum of 15 years in prison and were released in 2011

Severson, who is not being paid for speaking out, said after more than two years in California Institution for Women in Corona, she was ashamed of her actions.

She now tours schools and encourages young people not to act like she did.

She said: "I don't want bullies to do what I did. I want them to stop before that happens."

Severson, who now works in telesales and has released an e-book memoir It's My Life I Lived It about the murder, said: "I want to save other people from being bullied and doing the bullying, like I was."

KENYAN WOMEN SHOULD LEAVE NIGERIAN MEN, THEY ARE CHEAT - KENYAN WRITER FIRES

With the high rate at which accusing fingers are been pointed at some Nigerian men over their overzealous lifestyle of defrauding women while proclaiming fake love for them might gradually hinder the good Nigerian men from marrying a foreigner.

This is coming after Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson, recently warned that women should be careful of Nigerian men because they can lie for the whole of Africa and they are not to be trusted.

While many are trying to sleep over the actress statement, a Kenyan, writer, has also lashed Nigerian men with claims that they are conmen.

According to her, “Stay away from Nigerian men! All Nigerian men are conmen. Repeat after me; “All Nigerian men are conmen”. There are no exceptions here. When you see a Nigerian man, run the other way. Don’t stop to invoke the name of Jesus or pray. Just take cover.”

The angered writer stated that she was just confused on what her fellow Kenyan women see in Nigerian men that they continue to spend resources just to have them and later begin to weep after the relationship has gone soar.

WHY PASUMA DELVED INTO HIP HOP

A source close Fuji lord, Pasuma, has informed Nigeriafilms.com one of the main reasons the musician decided to explore hip hop genre of music.

It is a common knowledge that the Fuji artiste has not hidden his love for hip hop. Before now, he has tried to relate well with artistes in that genre of music, a thing most Fuji musicians find difficult to do.

According to the source, Pasuma delved into hip hop because of corporate deals and recognitions such artistes get, which hardly come the way of Fuji singers.

“Pasuma wants to penetrate into the corporate bodies which pay well to get the services of hip hop artistes in Nigeria. He wants to try his luck to see if things will go as planned. With that, he is sure of more deals from respected organisations.

“You see, most corporate bodies don’t want to associate themselves with Fuji artistes because of the way many people view them as hooligans. Pasuma is just trying to be very different,” the source told Nigeriafilms.com.

Pasuma currently has songs like 'Abo', ‘Omo Olope’, ‘O ti Clear’, 'Ife' and ‘Ogede Ti Pon’. He has featured top stars including Tiwa Savage.

PRESIDENT BUHARI IS NOT A MAGICIAN - BASKETMOUTH SLAMS PDP

Popular Nigerian comedian, Basketmouth, who seems not to be comfortable with the way the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been criticizing the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, has ordered the party to be silent.

The comedian questioned the integrity and transparency of the party since they had ruled the country for 16 years without anything to show for it.

Basketmouth stated that President Buhari should be allowed to concentrate as he was voted in as a President and not a magician.

In his words, “Can PDP shut the hell up and let Buhari work? You guys were in power for 16 years, where did you leave Nigeria? He’s only there for two months. We voted a President not a Magician.”

World To Be Free Of AIDS By 2030

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said Tuesday the world was headed for a "generation free of AIDS", after UNAIDS reported a 35-percent drop in new HIV infections from 15 years ago.

The positive news was also coupled with calls for more funding, with the objective of eliminating the virus by 2030. The United Nations also warned that continuing stigmatisation of sex workers, drug users and homosexuals were barriers to progress.

"The world has delivered. We have achieved and exceeded the goals regarding AIDS. We have 15 million people on HIV treatment," Ban said in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa, where he is attending a global development summit.

"We are on the way to a generation free of AIDS," Ban said.

"The world has delivered on halting and reversing the AIDS epidemic. Now we must commit to ending the AIDS epidemic."

According to the UNAIDS report released on Tuesday in Geneva, there have been remarkable strides since the advent in 1996 of anti-retroviral drugs, which suppress the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).

Though not a cure, the therapy creates a virtuous circle. The less the virus is in circulation, the less likely it is that people become infected. Although new HIV infections declined to two million in 2014 against 3.1 million 14 years ago and the number of new infections has noticeably decreased or remained stagnant, UNAIDS warned spending had plateaued.

There are currently 36.9 million people living with HIV around the world. Around March this year, 15 million of them were accessing anti-retroviral therapy.

"In 2011 world leaders called for reaching 15 million people with life-saving HIV treatment by 2015. And that is exactly what the world did - ahead of schedule," said UNAIDS chief Michel Sidibe in a report entitled "How AIDS changed everything." But the report said more needed to be done.

"After a decade of unprecedented growth, financing for the AIDS response has levelled off. At the same time, the world now has compelling evidence that people with HIV benefit by accessing anti-retroviral therapy as early as possible," it said.

UNAIDS said further increases and efficient reallocation were needed to address the "increased need of earlier initiation of anti-retroviral therapy" and called for AIDS spending of $32 billion (29 billion euros) annually between now and 2020 in the hope of eliminating the virus by 2030.

"Stigma, discrimination and punitive laws continue to affect the people most impacted by HIV and to block their access to HIV services in every region of the world," the report said. "The criminalisation of sex work, drug use and same-sex sexual relationships among consenting adults hinders attempts to reach people at higher risk of HIV infection."

Sidibe said he was hopeful that the next decade would "give us a more effective vaccine". The UN has set up an ambitious treatment target to help end the AIDS epidemic, aiming to ensure that 90 percent of all people living with HIV will know their status and that 90 percent of those diagnosed with HIV will receive anti-retroviral therapy.

The third target is that 90 percent of all people receiving anti-retroviral therapy will have viral suppression.

2015 is the deadline year for the Millennium Development Goals which in September 2000 rallied the world around a common 15-year agenda to tackle poverty and hunger, prevent deadly but treatable diseases and expand educational opportunities to all children.

In September, world leaders will gather at the United Nations in New York to adopt a new agenda for sustainable development in which health is one of the top priorities. Sub-Saharan Africa remains the region worst hit by AIDS with 25.8 million people living with HIV.

Last year, there were 1.4 million new HIV infections -- a 39 percent drop from 2000. Asia is a distant second with five million cases but there has been a recrudescence of new infections.

Last year there were 340,000 new HIV infections and China, Indonesia and India accounted for 78 percent of them. Medical charity Medecins sans Frontieres (MSF) hailed the strides made in the fight against AIDS but stressed that the world "cannot afford to lose any momentum".

"In some countries where we work, HIV treatment coverage is as low as 17 percent, which stands in stark contrast to the UNAIDS goal of 90 percent treatment coverage," it said.

Fayose hails CDS appointment

Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has congratulated the newly appointed Chief of Defence Staff, Maj. Gen. Abayomi Olonishakin, describing his appointment as meritorious and well-deserving.

The governor thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for deeming an Ekiti man worthy of appointment as the CDS for the first time in the history of Nigeria.

Fayose, in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Idowu Adelusi, said the honour done Ekiti with Olonishakin’s appointment would not be misplaced, adding that he was confident that the new CDS would exhibit the courage, intelligence, honesty and hard work that Ekiti people were noted for in the discharge of his duties.

The statement read, “At this crucial time in the existence of Nigeria as a nation, I have no doubt that Major General Olonishakin will justify his appointment by making our country safe again.

“I, therefore, pray that God will continue to give him the strength and wisdom to give his best at all times.”

Meanwhile, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in the South-East geopolitical zone, Paul Ikonne, on Wednesday, said the recent appointment of service chiefs by President Muhammadu Buhari was devoid of sentiments.

Ikonne, who was the Imo State governorship candidate of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria during the 2011 election, said this in an interview in Abuja.

He noted that those criticising the President’s choice of the military helmsmen were being unfair to Nigerians.

Ikonne said Buhari’s appointment of military chiefs was purely professional. He said, “Fighting Boko Haram is not something you do by sentiment.”

He appealed to his kinsmen in the South-East geopolitical zone not to lose hope, noting that the Buhari government would carry every section of the country along, especially in terms of appointments and projects.

He said those trying to score cheap points because no Igbo man made the list of service chiefs would soon bury their heads in shame because the President has the people of the South-East in mind.

EFCC begins probe of Uduaghan administration

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has commenced an investigation into the administration of Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan.

Investigations on Wednesday revealed that a team of operatives attached to the Economic Governance Unit of the commission was entrusted with the responsibility of looking into the account books of the Delta State Government under Uduaghan.

A reliable source disclosed to our correspondent that some officials of the state government would appear before the commission to answer questions in relation with alleged economic crimes next week.

It was learnt that some former commissioners and principal officers of the state’s seventh House of Assembly would be invited by the commission for interrogation.

The source said that one of the principal officers of the House was at the commission’s headquarters last week.

It was gathered that the team investigating the immediate past Delta State administration had not invited the former governor.

It was gathered that Uduaghan’s invitation would be determined by the outcome of the investigation of the invited officials.

“It is not true that Uduaghan and his aides were quizzed by the commission. Even his aides have not even been quizzed. The commission has invited some of the officials who served under the former governor. Some of them are commissioners and others are principal officers of the House of Assembly.

“Only one of the principal officers (name withheld) has appeared and left. The others are expected next week. The governor was not invited. He can only be invited after the interrogation of the officials involved. For now, he is out of it.”

When our correspondent contacted the Head, Media and Publicity, EFCC, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, to comment on the story, he said he had not been briefed about the said investigation.

Uduaghan had in May denied an allegation by a group which accused him of embezzling over N200bn which was appropriated to the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission.

The group, under the aegis of the Delta Youths for Good Governance and Anti-Corruption and Integrity Forum had alleged that the governor had embezzled the money and was speeding up plans to scrap the commission before leaving office on May 29, 2015.

The leader of the forum, Prince Kpokpogri, alleged that some members of the state seventh House of Assembly connived with the governor to secure N40bn bond.

Speaking through his Communications Manager, Paul Odili, Uduaghan, had, however, said the allegations were false and mischievous.

Odili said, “People are just heaping all kinds of allegations against the person of the governor. How can the governor take such a huge amount of money? It is cheap blackmail because the governor has the interest of Deltans at heart and he cannot do that. That allegation is ridiculous and from an ignorant mind.”

Mother stabs seven-year-old for defiling sister, neigbour’s daughter

It would be recalled that a picture surfaced online of a 7-year-old boy allegedly stabbed by his mum.

Shocking revelations have surfaced as regards the reason behind the absurd act.

Promise was stabbed by her mother with broken bottles for allegedly defiling his two-year-old step-sister and the daughter of a neighbour.

The incident happened on Monday on Tunde Olusola Street, in the Ijaiye-Ojokoro area of Lagos.

The mother, Mrs. Blessing Fred, was said to have gone out with her daughter on Sunday, leaving Promise behind.

It was gathered that while the mother was away, Promise went to visit five-year-old Yemi (pseudonym) ─ the neighbour’s daughter ─ at her parents’ apartment. He was said to have met Yemi alone and took her to his mother’s room.

On getting to the room, he reportedly told her to remove her clothes and lie down. It was said that he slept on top of the girl and fiddled with her private parts.

PUNCH Metro learnt that Yemi’s mother had left her with her sister, who was said to have left home when the incident happened.

Our correspondent gathered that Yemi narrated what transpired between her and Promise to her mother when she came back.

Residents approached by PUNCH Metro on Wednesday declined to speak, but a neighbour, who did not want her name in print because of the sensitivity of the matter, told our correspondent that Yemi’s mother invited Promise to her apartment and verified the story in the presence of her daughter.

She said, “Initially, he denied. But when the woman assured him that she would not tell his mother, he opened up and said it was true. He said he had been doing it with his step-sister too. The woman later reported Promise to his mother and he confessed to her as well.”

“She first beat him with a stick on Monday for the offence. But all of a sudden, she smashed a bottle and stabbed him in the back.”

A resident, Bose Komolafe, said Fred had been arrested by the police from the Ijaiye-Ojokoro Police Division, while Promise had been admitted to a hospital in the area.

She said, “Some neighbours rushed to rescue the child from her. He is on admission at a hospital. Whatever the child might have done wrong, such a move was too harsh.”

Yemi’s mother’s apartment was locked when our correspondent checked for comments on the incident.

Our correspondent inquired about the matter from a police woman at the complaint desk of the police station, but she said she did not have the details.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, confirmed the incident.

He said, “Fred stabbed her son on the back for allegedly touching the vagina of his two-year-old sister. She has been apprehended. The victim is currently receiving treatment at a hospital. The neighbour’s daughter case was not reported to us.”

Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has denied reports that his demands have caused a strain in his relationship with President Mohammadu Buhari.

"I have no demands of the party. If you understand what party politics and leadership is all about, it is about loyalty and commitment to the values that the leadership believes in.

"I believe in what the president believes in, I respect him and I stand firmly loyal to his course. So, you can go to any length of speculation that you might want, I had not responded to all of that because I understand the president and the president understands me clearly," he said.

On the leadership crisis in the National Assembly, Tinubu said: "That is an area where I am very cautious of my position and my utterances. I still want to keep my side of the interpretation or analysis to be able to achieve a resolution of the matter as quickly as possible.

"I am backing what the president has carefully enumerated and articulated to the party. The party is supreme. The party must have disciplined leadership and followers. The party's process must be respected because that is the confidence and the trust of the people."

Twitter user comes hard on Ben Bruce, calls him madman

Senator Ben Murray Bruce, like he’d always do, shared his opinion on his Twitter page as to why most Nigerian youths use their intelligence on making up creative insults rather than use it for their own good and of the nation.

Not a millisecond passed when Twitter user @AsiwajuApc, who happens to be a youth, quickly, disrespectfully, replied the Senator by stating that he is a mad man who is high on coke.

This made the Senator respond to him, but he did in a humble manner, He said: What does a youth gain or achieve for himself or for Nigeria by being so rude? I need an education on this please. .

Yet again, the Twitter user replied him and said: @benmurraybruce You see why i called you a #MadMan? Too much coke is disturbing your brain….

Other Nigerian twitter users have told the fellow to apologize, stating that why would he be disrespectful to an elder like that in the country but he boldly responded by saying:

All of u re stupid… You should be busy telling @benmurraybruce to return all the money he stole from #NTA. Am only fighting for d youths

When I was born, I guess, my father was not happy about my birth, so he wasn’t there for me. He chose not to be a part of my life; a single mother raised me. She trained me from kindergarten to University. My father was never there. Even though I have an amazing stepfather, I always wished I could have had him in my life. That created a vacuum in my childhood. But I’m grateful that I had my mum and she did all she could to make sure that I lacked nothing.

When asked on if she tried to reach out to her father, she said:

I did! Several times. Let me give you some instances. When I was younger, I met him and I told him I wanted a pair of shoes for Christmas and he told me, he was going to buy me three or four pairs. My excitement knew no bounds when he said that. Guess what? He never fulfilled that promise; I waited for those shoes for a very long time, but they never came. At a point I asked my mum, and she said, listen, if he wanted to do as he said, your shoes would have gotten here a long time ago, so better move on. At another time, while he was in London I asked him to take me with him. And he told me not to worry, that he would come for me. I waited and waited, and he never did. The two times he ever promised me something when I was growing up, he failed to fulfill them. That has never left my mind.

While I was in school, I had a brother in my class and I never knew. We both didn’t know, until one day when a teacher told us and then showed us our records as proof.
My dad is not such an amazing person in my life. I don’t have any good memories of him.
