Kim Kardashian slams stepmum/dad, Caitlyn Jenner, for “unfair” comments about her mum, Kris Jenner

World famous reality TV Star/Model, Kim Kardashian has shown fury towards her step mother/father, Caitlyn Jenner for putting her mum down in her Vanity Fair interview.

In the latest episode of the new E! Tv series, I Am Cait, Caitlyn tells the camera, 'The Vanity Fair article was interesting to do, because it was the first time I ever really had the opportunity to be absolutely truthful with a reporter about every aspect of my life”. It was an honest article, and sometimes when you’re honest it can be upsetting to some people

Infuriated Kim then met with her, quoting her step mom/dad’ in the magazine, Kim said: If [Kris] had been really understanding of [my transition], we’d probably still be together.’

Furious Kim scolded her stepfather/mother: ‘That’s the most unfair thing in the world to say.’

The reality TV star was also upset over how her little half-sisters Kendall and Kylie were portrayed in Jenner’s historic Vanity Fair cover story in July.

You said Kendall and Kylie were a distraction, and so when they read that, they’re gonna think…I don’t know if they’ll quite understand that,’

Man Gave Up Being Human To Become A Goat

Of all the animals in the world, this brother decided to choose the behavioural adaptation of a goat! to clear his regrets of his past?! Wow!

Thomas Thwaites is so intruiged by goats he gave it all up to live with them in the mountains. He spent three days as part of a herd in the Swiss Alps while investigating goat behaviour.

He used special prosthetic limbs made to enable him to move around on all fours easily. And the designer even considered having a fake stomach fitted to let him to eat grass, just like his four-legged friends.

He told Mashable, “My goal was to take a holiday from the pain and worry of being a self-conscious being, able to regret the past and worry about the future.”

He also said, “I was able to keep up for maybe a kilometre or so on this migration down the side of this kind of rocky mountain, and then they just left me in the dust.

“So I spent the rest of the day trying to catch up to them and eventually I found them again, and it was quite nice, in the actual soft grassy pasture bit.

“But actually heading down the mountain was petrifying. Because if I fell I didn’t have any hands to stop me from hitting a rock.”

Thwaites has written a book about his experiences, called ‘GoatMan; How I Took a Holiday from Being Human’.

Opinion: Skiibii is Truly Dead

In the Good Book it is written “And as it is appointed to men once to die, but after this the judgment”. That line is taken from Hebrews 9:27.

I am not God who is the judge who determines whether we make it past the pearly gates of Heaven or sent to the eternal flames of Hell. Inasmuch I am not the ‘I am that I am’, my name is my name, and I think I have racked enough gravitas to judge the show of shame that has happened within the last 24 hours in the 5 Star Music camp.

Yesterday, we were hit with the news that upcoming act Skiibii had passed away. I did not know him personally, and I was not aware of his music but the fact that a day before his ‘death’ he was on radio promo rounds pushing his new single made me slightly sad.

A 22-year-old upcoming act dies before his career takes off, sounds like a line in the trailer of a Hollywood movie about a rising star who never made it.

As the music industry started paying its last respects, the twist in the story came out- Skiibii was responding to treatment. The thing about crap is that you don’t need to see it before you smell it.

Skiibii resurrecting from the dead after his manager shared the picture of a candlelight on Instagram makes the whole scenario was a stunt of poor taste. But this is 5 Star Music we are talking about, good taste and the label don’t go together.

Skiibii’s tale looks suspicious and fake. Pulse has published a story of facts that counters 5 Star Music Group’s statement that Skiibii was ill and slumped.

The wave of sympathy from the music industry transformed into a backlash, and rightfully so. You do not joke with death. It is a serious thing. Grieving over a parent, brother, sister, a member of your family, friend, colleague, lover is something we should experience only once. No one has the mental fortitude to grieve over someone twice.

Mourning someone is a huge emotional act. It alters your mind, numbs your soul, and nearly crushes your spirit. For Skiibii and his accomplices in 5 Star Music to pull off such a silly stunt shows they are wicked and borderline evil. Fame is not that serious for you take people into the pit of bereavement and tell them its only a joke later on. How low can these guys go for them to trend and have their videos on Hip TV or Sound City?

We have known 5 Star Music for its brand of tasteless pop music, vulgar display of wealth, and annoying Instagram competitions. This new stunt shows how low E Money and his boys will go for relevance. Well Skiibii got what he wanted, he trended but not for his single or songs. He trended because he died.

To me Skiibii is really dead. In my mind he died after 24 hours of doing promo rounds, and there is nothing that can bring him back in my mind. I know a lot of other people in the music industry feel the same way to. I don’t care if two years from now he drops a dope album, as for me Skiibii died on August 14. That’s the end of his chapter. His ghost can roam around in parties and perform at Industry Nite, that’s his problem. Skiibii is dead and nothing can change that.

As for 5 Star Music, I suggest my colleagues give them a media blackout for a while. That label does not deserve to be in the spotlight right now. It is definitely not made up of right thinking people. DJs, VJs, and OAPs if you must take payola from them let them pay double, as a matter of fact triple.

Consider it payment for the emotional disturbance and stress you went through when you found out Skiibii died. They have the money, let E Money feel his bank account shake a little bit.

Now for the judgement. You, Skiibii after your death should remain in eternal music damnation of irrelevance. You are a struggle Lazarus. Don’t worry, your 5 Star Music brothers with the way their careers are going will soon join you there.

Rest In Peace Skiibii (and rise no more).

Indian Doctors meet to discuss why Marijuana is a good pain medicine

Indian doctors met for the "Seminar on Chronic Pain”, organised by AIIMS-Bhubaneswar and Medicinal Cannabis Foundation of India (MCFI) this month to discuss how chronic and cancer pain can be controlled using marijuana.

India's relationship with marijuana

Most importantly, the event focused on marijuana's pain relieving properties, and saw notable speakers, including Indian-American physician-scientist Sunil Kumar Aggarwal, M.D., Ph.D., who spoke on Cannabinoid Integrative Medicine.  He spoke on how India has since long understand  the medical properties of Cannabis, making it a part of Ayurveda.

“Cannabis Sativa”, has also been formally introduced into India's digital library to protect it international biopiracy.

The scientific benefits of smoking weed

Cannabis' effects on the human body have helped understand "major molecular signaling system, widespread in the human body and present in 600 million living organisms....". And just last month, scientists in Israel have discovered that certain chemicals in cannabis help broken bones mend faster. This chemical can possibly slow down or avert the onset of osteoporosis.

India's push for legalising

The push for legalising medical marijuana has gained steam over the last few months. Just in January this year, oncologists (doctors specializing in cancer), suggested that it could offer an effective cure for cancer. They decided to lobby to lift the ban on cannabis to allow them to explore the medicinal uses of the plant. They point out that the US allows its use for medicinal purposes, following several validations of the plant's derivatives giving a healing touch to cancer patients. Their interest in cannabis research was stirred up during recent debates on tobacco farming. "We are encouraging cultivation of tobacco that causes various types of cancer.

At the other end, we are ignoring the medicinal properties of a plant that can help cancer patients. We are not even able to take up research as procurement of the plant is illegal in India, whereas oncologists in 21 states of the US are prescribing derivatives of cannabis for cancer treatment," Dr Vishal Rao, surgical oncologist, HCG, told the Times of India.Cannabis derivatives prevent blood supply to the cancer tumour. "Cancer cells are hungry cells, once there is break in the blood supply, they shrink due to lack of glucose. It is also helpful in reducing nausea and vomiting sensation for cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy," he said.

Medical benefits

Pointing out how India is lagging behind other countries in cannabis research, Dr B S Ajai Kumar, chairman of HCG Enterprises, said, "We want to take up research on medicinal benefits of cannabis derivatives. But to take it up we need the plants, which is not available in India. We are approaching the government with a proposal to legalize medicinal use of cannabis."

But oncologists make it clear that they are not for encouraging recreational use of marijuana. "Isolated compounds in cannabis have medicinal properties. In the US, it is also used for treating Alzheimer's, Glaucoma and multiple sclerosis. Currently, there is a lack of understanding of the topic even among the medical fraternity, and even speaking about it is avoided. We have to overcome that," Dr Rao said.

Indian farmers seek government's permission to commit suicide

Around 25,000 farmers in Mathura have sought permission from President Pranab Mukherjee to commit suicide on August 15 after a 17-year-long struggle to get compensation from the government.

Compensation for submerged lands reutersWhat looks to be a new trend, the development comes a day after 70 Vyapam scam accused lodged in Gwalior, around 175 kms from Mathura, raised a similar demand, citing judicial disparity.

Demanding compensation against 700 acre of their lands which got submerged after construction of Gokul Barrage without their consent, the farmers from 11 villages of the district had been agitating since 1998 when the gates of the barrage were shut on the pretext of a test being undertaken and their land went under the water.

They even faced bullets for their causeagrariancrisisBharatiya Kisan Sangh, an off-shoot of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, took their cause and the agitating farmers even faced bullets in November 2014 but nothing has happened so far, Sangh state general secretary Kunwar Nishad said.

"In February this year, when the farmers sat on dharna, officials had promised to sort out the matter in one month but the promise was never fulfilled," Nishad said, adding "On the contrary, several protesters were falsely implicated for loot and dacoity."

Seeing no hope, now the villagers under the banner of Bharatiya Kisan Sangh sent a letter to the President on Saturday seeking permission to commit suicide by hanging.

According to the government officials' valuation, 25,000 farmers should get around Rs 800 crore as compensation for around 700 acres of land, Nishad said and added "however, despite several assurances and the matter being raked up in Parliament, the state government continues to turn a blind eye to the sufferings of these farmers."

Four dead, more than 20,000 affected by Niger floods

At least four people have died and more than 20,000 have been affected by floods in Niger caused by weeks of heavy rain, the United Nations said Friday.

The bad weather has destroyed 2,170 homes and flooded nearly 545 hectares of agricultural land, the UN’s Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said in a statement.

Around 3,100 displaced victims are currently living in schools or have been taken in by host families, the agency said citing Niger’s emergency civil protection services.

The bad weather is showing no sign of abating as the rainy season continues in the impoverished sub-Saharan country, which has often faced severe food crises due to flooding or drought.

Since late July, local media have reported repeated floods, particularly in central and southern Niger.

In the capital Niamey, the authorities have asked residents living near the edge of the Niger River to leave their homes because of the flood threat. The water level is at 580 centimetres (19 feet), well above the “alert” threshold of 530 centimetres, according to the Niger Basin Authority (NBA).

Of the eight regions of Niger, only Diffa in the east, which is home to more than 100,000 refugees who have fled violence in neighbouring Nigeria, has not been affected by the bad weather.

In 2014, floods have killed dozens of people and affected hundreds of thousands, according to official figures.

The Niger River, the third largest in Africa, has a flood basin of over two million square kilometres (770,000 square miles) which is home to more than 100 million people from Guinea to Nigeria.

Buhari never said he will publish assets - Adesina

Femi Adesina, special adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on media and publicity, says the president never promised to make his assets public. Adesina said the issue of assets publishing cannot be credited to Buhari but the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

He said Buhari has declared his assets in compliance with the law and may decide to make them public when verification is concluded by the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB). He was speaking in an interview with Kayode Ogundamisi, a social commentator.

“You need to get his words right, go and check all that the president said during the campaign, in no place would you see it attributed to him as a person,” Adesina said. “But then there is a document by his party, the All Progressives Congress, saying he would declare publicly, so we need to set that right, it’s a declaration by his party. “Now what does the law require?

The law requires public officers to declare their assets; he has done that. But his party has a document that says he would do it publicly. “There is a procedure for that, and the procedure is that you first declare, code of conduct (bureau) would verify and after that, if you want to make it public, the onus lies on you to say release. The procedure has to be followed.”

The presidential spokesman went on to say the decision to release or not release the asset for public consumption would be taken by the president when verification is done. “He has declared, and it is deposited with the code of conduct bureau and they need to verify. Let’s come to that time when code of conduct would say we have completed verification.”

When contacted, Adesina said he had nothing to add to what he said in the interview. “You already heard what I said, I have nothing to add,” he told TheCable. Nigerians have been mounting pressure on the president to publish the details of his assets.

Why We Need To Stop Telling Women They're Equal To Men

The biggest disservice we do to women is telling them that they are equal to men. We fail to prepare them for their reality and, by doing so, we set them up for a lifetime of struggle, disappointment and misery.

Men and women are not equal -- they are different. Like apples and oranges. We're all fruits, yes, and only one of us will make a decent apple pie.
This whole bringing-up-your-daughters-the-way-you'd-bring-up-your-sons business is nonsense. When did we decide that there is an ideal human being prototype and it's male? Why is no one bringing up their sons like they'd bring up their daughters?
