I WAS BANNED FROM NOLLYWOOD WITH GENEVIEVE, OTHERS—JOKE SILVA

Some years ago, some ‘cabals’ in the Nigerian film industry prevented some practitioners from getting jobs because of what they termed as ‘high headedness’.

The likes of Genevieve Nnaji, Ramsey Nouah and some other top actors in Nollywood were not given jobs to do and this brought about the emergence of new set of faces in the industry.

But not many knew that veteran actress, Joke Silva, also received the big stick because she was one of the actors banned that time.

Speaking with Newswatch Times in an interview on why she turns down scripts from some producers, the wife of another veteran actor, Olu Jacobs said, “There are several reasons like not being available; not wanting to work on a particular script and at other times because of being blacklisted. I am one of the blacklisted ones, but they didn’t announce it. You heard it directly from me.”

Joke Silva also said she is a very private person.

Black Parents Shocked As Their Son Was Born White With Blond hair

A very Rare genetic Mutation: The black parents shocked when their son was born white with blond hair.
A black couple told of their shock and mystification when their son was born with white skin and blond hair. Francis Tshibangu admitted: ‘My first thought was “Wow, is he really mine?”.’

He and his wife Arlette already have a two-year-old boy, Seth, whose features reflect his African parentage. But it is thought that baby Daniel, now 11 weeks old, has a slight genetic mutation. He is not an albino.

Congo- born Mr Tshibangu, 28, said his ‘jaw dropped open’ when Daniel arrived at Leicester Royal Infirmary.

‘All we can say is that Daniel is our miracle and, though we are shocked by his white skin, we feel very blessed. He’s beautiful.’

His 25-year-old wife added: ‘The reaction in the operating theatre  was one of shocked silence, myself included.

‘I stared at Daniel with my eyes wide. The looks on the faces of  the doctors and nurses said it all.  Everyone was wondering why I had a white baby.

‘But as the nurse put his little pink body in my arms I bonded with him instantly. When I looked at him all I felt was love.

‘Like any mum who has just given birth, my main concern was that he was healthy, which he is.’

Mr Tshibangu added: ‘I know there will be some who say my wife has had an affair but I trust her completely and know that isn’t the case.

‘Even if she’d had an affair with  a white man, you would expect a mixed-race baby with black hair, not a white baby with soft blond hair like little Daniel.’

The couple believe Daniel could be a throwback to Arlette’s great-great-great-grandmother, who is also thought to have given birth to a white baby. But Mr Tshibangu said: ‘That was six generations ago and we don’t even know if that was true.’

He added: ‘You can see people looking at us thinking, “What are that black couple doing with that white baby?” I am sure there are a few people who think we have stolen him.

‘But to us, his skin colour isn’t important. The most important thing is that we have a healthy little boy who we love very much.’

Here’s Why You Should Never Throw Away Egg Shells

Egg’s shell is natural source of minerals and contains 90% calcium. Calcium is easily absorbed by our body because its chemical composition is almost identical to human’s teeth and bones.

If consumed in larger amounts, calcium will not only get rid of lack of calcium-symptoms, but it will also prevent osteoporosis’ development, stimulate the bone narrow in producing blood cells and help when it comes to treating high cholesterol levels and high blood pressure.

Egg shell also contains iron, zinc, copper, manganese, fluorine, phosphorus, chromium and molybdenum. Therefore, many experts recommend shell eggs as a natural and very effective calcium supplement.

It is recommended to enter 1.5 to 3 grams of crushed shells a day.

Here are several ideas on how to use egg shell and what to use them for:

1. Strengthening the organism and cleansing the blood

Wash 5 egg shells, crush them good and put them in 3 liters of water. Keep this mixture in the refrigerator for 7 days before using it as a drinking water. Drink two to three glasses of this mixture a day. You can add lemon juice if you want to.

2. Thyroid gland

Take 8 egg shells, wash them good and crush them even better. Pour juice of 2 lemons over the crushed egg shells and leave in refrigerator for several days. When shell will soften, strain the liquid and mix it with 1 liter of rakia and 1 kg of honey. Let this mixture stand still for 7 days before using it. Consume one teaspoon two to four times per day after meals.

3. Gastritis, ulcer

Crush some egg shells. Pick some using the tip of the knife. This amount of egg shells will be enough for treating these diseases. Mix the crushed egg shells with 2 tablespoons of lemon juice. When shells will soften, add one deciliter of hot milk. Consume this mixture 2 times a day – on an empty stomach in the morning and before bedtime in the evening.

Baby buried alive by parents is rescued after surviving 8 days

A newborn baby has been found alive after being buried for 8 days in a cemetery in the mountains of Guangxi province in southern China by his parents who were disappointed after he was born with a cleft lip.

According to Mail Online, the baby boy was miraculously discovered after a middle-aged woman identified as Lu Fenglian heard his cry while she was collecting herbs for Chinese medicine around the mountains filled with unmarked graves. She was shocked to hear the crying sounds and believing the mountain to be haunted by some evil spirits, she ran to a Buddhist temple close by for help.

A priest at the temple followed her and after listening to the sound, was convinced that it was the sound of a crying child. He immediately called in the police who dug the area and rescued the baby.

The child was buried just five centimeters below the earth surface in a cardboard box. Police also found blankets and other items of clothing inside the box. The baby was rushed to the Tian Dong County People’s Hospital where he received emergency medical treatment.

One of the nurses attending to him said that when the baby arrived at the hospital he was in a very bad condition and he had to be kept in an incubator for several days. He vomited thick black substance that doctors reported was dirt that he had been swallowing while underground.

Many believe the baby was able to survive because rainwater provided him with sufficient moisture.

The parents of the baby have been traced following the discovery, and have been revealed to be a young couple from nearby Siping Village in Ping Ma town. They are yet to be arrested but the police have made several arrest including the baby’s grandmother and three other relatives.
