10yr old gives birth hours after complaining of stomach ache at school
A girl of 10 who complained at school of stomach ache gave birth just hours later. She was rushed to hospital in Brazil by teachers and found her to be in the late stages of labour. Although only 7 months pregnant, the girl gave birth normally.
The girl and her baby are being cared for in the hospital's neonatal unit. She told police her stepfather, 40, abused her. He is now accused of rape.
The girl’s mother claimed she had not seen her daughter’s stomach bulge and she had no idea she was pregnant. According to police, the girl's mother said that her daughter started to struggle at school and become more introverted from October last year.
Police in Belo Horizonte, south-east Brazil, said: "The mother alleges that she, along with other family members, hadn't noticed, taking into consideration the child's small frame."
The girl told police that her ex-stepfather would threaten to kill her mother and brother if she ever told about the abuse. He has been charged with rape of a child and illegal possession of firearms.

Man Catches Wife Sleeping With His Own Blood Brother
Ojo Owoeye, a middle-aged timber contractor, has told a customary court sitting in Akoko, Ondo state that he caught his wife, Mrs Bola Owoeye having sex with his brother.
The husband said that he reported his wife and his younger brother to his mother-in-law , but the latter pacified him. His younger brother has also denied having extra marital affairs with his wife.
Ojo told the court saying, "My Lord, there was a time I cam home from a journey around 9pm and met my wife naked with only her wrapper around her chest, sitting on my brother's lap.
He also told the court that at a time he had to destroy his wife's mobile phone when he discovered that she often receives calls from other men. The court has since dissolved the union based on the husband's accusations.
Mentally Challenged Patients Attack Doctors At Psychiatric Hospital Yaba
Doctors at the Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital, Yaba have deserted their post over recurrent attacks from mentally challenged patients at the hospital. The psychiatrists who have suffered diverse forms of injuries from violent attacks of their patients are currently on strike to push for an increase in security personnel within the establishment.
The President, Association of Resident Doctors of the hospital, Dr. Jeje Oyetayo, said that doctors had to embark on an indefinite strike after the last attack on two female doctors at the outpatient unit of the hospital in June.
She said, ''Patients have attacked doctors severally at the hospital and we don’t have trained security personnel to address this. But the last one was on the 5th of June, two female doctors were attacked such that consultants had to come and save them. The patient took an iron rod and started running around with it and there were no security officials. Patients get violent occasionally but the norm is that there should be trained personnel that can disarm them'', she said.
Boy 10, Girl 8, Caught Having Sex In Ajegunle
Two families resident in the Ajegunle area of Lagos state have rained unprintable curses on themselves after a 10-year-old boy was caught by his father having carnal knowledge of an eight-year-old girl of the other family.
It is said that the children were playing hide and seek when the boy, 10, invited the girl, 8 into their apartment on Idewu street and told her to pull her clothes so that they ‘would do it.’
They climbed his father’s bed and were on it when the father, a commercial mini-bus driver, identified as David Udoh opened the door and caught the two kids pants down. Mr Udoh was said to have dragged them outside before he raised the alarm.
Anna’s mother, Sarah, was said to have hollered that the boy has taught her daughter a bad thing.
The woman claimed that her daughter is too small to know what sex is all about. Udoh on his part claimed that his son was innocent also.
The two kids were asked what transpired and the girl said, “It was the boy that told her to remove her clothes, including undies so that we could do it. I told him no and he pushed me to the bed and I pulled my clothes. He removed my pant.”
One of their co-tenants, John Ukaegbu appealed to the two families not to quarrel over the incident since both kids are minors.
Ukaegbu advised: “Probably you parents did not allow your children to sleep before performing the adult show. Children of nowadays are very wise. Allow them to sleep first if not, you are the people teaching them immorality. Sex should be a hidden thing,” he said.
The two kids were flogged six lashes each before they were told to go and sleep in their respective apartments. They both promised not to commit such an act again.
